Cala d'Or Beach
Cala d'Or is the name of a beach but it is also the name of small city in Mallorca Island. The beach is located at the end of a narrow inlet in a small bay. Cala d'Or means 'the golden bay' - and that is truly correct when it comes to Cala d'Or - Mallorca - Balearic Islands - Spain. The beach is 45 meters wide and 100 meters deep, so you may have to walk in order to go for a swim. The sand is soft, fine and golden and the cove is sheltered so the sea is nice and calm for children. The beach is organized and is equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas as well as showers and toilets. There is a bar at the back of the bay.
For your summer vacations you can combing days on the beach, fun evenings and visits to some interesting nearby places. This beach is the last in the southern part of Cala d'Or residence area and is the closest beach to the Cala d’Or Yacht Club marina. The beach here is also known as Es Forti and is very similar to Cala Esmeralda.

Cala d’Or is a popular holiday resort, south of Porto Colom on the east coast. In fact, Cala d’Or is actually a number of individual resorts which have become connected through development over the years and are usually marketed under the one name.
As well as the original Cala d’Or, other beaches include Cala Gran, Cala Petita, Cala Ferrera, Cala Esmeralda and Cala Serena. There is pretty much a beach for most tastes and it is possible to find quieter areas for those who like a more relaxing holiday. As a result of its growth, this is a self-contained purpose-built resort with endless bars and restaurants, varied nightlife, and a wealth of shopping opportunities – including some chic boutiques.
